Multiple Spindle Heads have more versitility than just drilling.  Customers have called and asked to apply the multi-spindle heads to many special applications.  Our Multiple Spindle Heads are turning control knobs, adding wire reinforced brading to hose, tightening screws and bolts, and performing many other custom applications.  For these applications Multiple Spindle Heads were the ideal solution.

Obstruction - Hole locations close to an obstruction pose an access problem for many drilling machines.  Our Offset Drilling Heads have solved these access problems.  This photo shows single spindle offset drilling head with the spindle offset from the input centerline to reach a tight location.

Dual Purpose - Sometimes more than one drill pattern can be placed on a single Multi-Spindle Drill head.  This drawing shows two horizonal patterns on a single drilling head.  The upper pattern can drill 1-3/16" C-C holes and the lower pattern can drill another different pattern of holes.  Only two tools are placed in the head for the pattern desired at that time.  The other two spindles turn without any tools installed.

400% INCREASE IN PRODUCTION !! - A four spindle in-line fixed pattern drill head increased the drilling production of this straight line pattern by reducing number of times indexing is necessary from eight to two.  Additional benefits included less tool changes since four tools are replaced at a time, less possibilities for error, and less accumulated tolerance errors.

Multiple Spindle Fixed or Adjustable Head mounted to a motor drive - The fixed multiple spindle head with a motor drive was added to a CNC router to allow multi-spindle drilling capabilities as well as routing for a customer.  The "Z" axis of the router was used to down-feed the multi-spindle head with the motor drive.
