Large hole drilling applications in metals may require more thrust than is available with shop air.  A hydraulic system for both stroke reciprocation and spindle drive is a solution for these heavy duty applications.

Hydraulic systems are more expensive than pneumatic powered systems.  An alternate solution to consider is our Pressure Booster System.  Look under the Accessories section for information on this simple method of increasing AutoDrill's thrust capabilities.
